“ Do you know what bao stands for? Bun... no not sticky bun, or honey bun. Bun as in a fluffy slice of heaven mixed with pork. Right...that kind of bun. I love spending my day off in Williamsburg trying new restaurants and I was in the mood for Asian cuisine. I asked the Yelp gifs to find a new restaurant on Bedford and Mr. Bao popped up. My second good wish was to dine on Dan Dan noodles, as always, the craving is high. Thus, when I saw my fave dish on their menu it sealed the deal. Thus ad I write this review, my noodles were served. The bowl of beautiful Sichuan style noodles with minced pork and scallions First twirl...insanely delicious and just the right spice. I couldn't stop my chopsticks from twirling and swirling. Mr, Bao, aside from buns, offers hand made dumplings, pan fried chicken, pork and chives, different options for fried chicken wings and soup dumplings. The atmosphere is quiet but the music spinning had me dancing and twirling at the same time. The service is friendly and courteous. The traditional Chinese bowls adorning the wall and ceiling were quite beautiful. Xie Xie Mr. Bao and Wo hui hailai de. ( I'll be back) ”

“ Classic taiwanese snacks & dim sum served in a fun and casual environment; kind of reminded me of my favorite boba shops growing up with elevated food haha Ordered the Dan Dan noodles, popcorn chicken, & sticky rice. Everything was good! Sticky rice had an egg yolk, pork, and chinese sausage inside. Wouldn't order the popcorn chicken next time. Was really suprised at how affordable this place is. We're so used to seeing $15-20 plates, but most items on the menu are under $10. Staff was very sweet and welcoming. 4.5/5 ”

“ I was in the neighborhood and looking to pick up dinner to take home to my mom. This cuisine is definitely up her alley so I gave it a shot. I got an order of shrimp dumplings, roast pork bun, 48 hour galbi beef and sesame balls. The dumplings and roast pork buns were good, pretty much standard and the beef was delicious but the side that I chose for her was listed on the menu as garlic cucumber salad. That, she said, had her mouth on fire. There was no mention of it being spicy and when I tried it later, it was hot to me and I rarely find things spicy. They really need to clarify this as it caused her to not enjoy the meal. Even with that incident I gave it four stars because the food was good and so are the portions in price. Service was also very kind. ”
